Toy Design – Thinking

In June 19 and 26 2018, the School of Global Studies organized a workshop Toy Design – Thinking which is funded by Startup Thailand operated under the Ministry of Science and Technology. This event was integrated with one of sessions in Summer Pre Program Course (SPPC) where students can develop their design thinking through toy creation. The workshop was led by Aj. Pisate Virangkabutra, lecturer and Toy Design expert from our school.
The first day of the workshop was begun with global social challenges where Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were presented as principles and scopes to address social challenges. The students were broken up into small groups and chose one goal from SDGs to design their toy or game prototypes. For the second day of the workshop, each group generated and boarder their ideas then picked up one to develop a prototype. The created prototyped were tested by neighbor groups to receive feedback from different perspectives to come up with future development methods.
